The production ofelectronic parts and equipment that require
good resistance to fingerprint andcorrosion, utilize large quantities of
electrogalvanized steel substrates.Galvanized steel sheet, however, has poor
fingerprint resistance and earthingproperties, and displays also a poor
corrosion inhibition. In a salt (fog)spray test (ASTM B-117), a white rust
covered the entire surface of galvanizedsteel substrate in less than 24
hours.
